Solution to the itching
During the Winter of 2022, the children at Lafond School reported significant improvement after using the ointment bought for them by Emeance Legacy with the help our donors. The children reported they could not stop scratching which caused lesions to their skins. But with the advice of Dr. Felima, we sent 350 tubes of medicine for each of the household where members had the conditions....
LAURA IN LAFOND
On Sunday August 23, Tropical Storm Laura unleashed heavy rain and gusty wind causing great damages to crops (beans and yams) and causing loss of cattle (goats) as well. The parents of Lafond School told us that they have invested their savings or their loans to grow beans. However the storm destroyed their crop at 60%. They told us that to get back on their feet, they need seeds of beans, vegetables (cabbage, beets, leeks and green pepper) and they would like to replace at least one of the goats they lost. Emeance Legacy is receiving donations to assist them. We are also using our Radio Lafonbelle to inform them of the risks of growing beans during the hurricane season and advise them to diversify their crops.
